Child Care Coaches

All candidates, who wish to be considered for the position of Preschool Teaching position must meet one or more of the following criteria, in addition to any/all requirements that may be mandated by the State of New York

Qualifications

1. A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development and state certification
2. Proof of current and active enrollment in an accredited Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program in Early Childhood Education or a related field
3. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell

Requirements

1. Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
2. Advancing children’s physical and intellectual competence
3. Supporting each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
4. Establishing positive and effective family relations and communication
   Ensuring an effective program, responsive to children’s needs
5. Ability to implement requirements of Department of Health standards
6. Prepare timely notation of developmental milestones of each student
